About Vicky Smith

My career has been driven by construction, it is where I first started and I still love it! Solving the complexities of large transportation projects in urban settings and getting them built is what people count on us to do. For the last 30 years it has been amazing to have so many opportunities to work with clients, exceptional technical people, and community members to imagine and construct projects that improve livability. For me, transit is a vibrant piece of the fabric of a connected city and I excel at integrating multi-modal transportation options in urban environments that must be ready for the future. As a transit professional, I don’t see transit as THE answer, but as an important piece of the overall transportation solution. In Portland, I am so proud to have worked on nearly every TriMet MAX corridor including the Blue, Red, Green and Orange Lines. All of these transit lines are essential elements in our regional transportation system and every day they continue to provide choices and access to opportunities.
