About Victor Anomah

I am a HCPC-registered Biomedical Scientist and a Member of the IBMS (MIBMS) with a BSc and MSc in Biomedical Sciences. My professional journey spans over 8 years across clinical diagnostics, transfusion science, and academic research, combining hands on laboratory expertise with a strong commitment to quality, patient safety, and innovation.Currently, I work as a Higher Health Technical Officer at NHS Blood and Transplant, where I partake in the screening of blood components (Platelets) under GMP-compliant conditions, operating advanced analytical platforms and supporting the safe provision of blood and blood products. My experience is complemented by prior roles as Biomedical Scientist at Nyaho Medical Centre and as a Senior Research Assistant at the West African Centre for Cell Biology of Infectious Pathogens (WACCBIP, University of Ghana), where I partook in projects related to recombinant protein engineering, molecular biology, and malaria research.Beyond technical skills, I bring strengths in leadership and quality systems, equipment validation processes, staff supervision, and continuous improvement initiatives. Some study’s I partook in have been presented at international scientific meetings (e.g, ISCOMS 2020) and published peer-reviewed work in the British Journal of Haematology.I am passionate about bridging research and diagnostics to improve patient outcomes and open to collaboration and opportunities in clinical science, transfusion, and biomedical research.
