About Victor Beumer

I am a thought leader and consultant helping cities to be more biodiverse, more climate adaptive and more liveable. I work with urban Nature-based Solutions (NBS) to accomplish this. My focus is Europe and I work for Aveco de Bondt (NL). I coordinate teh domain Built Environment in the Dutch Collectief natuurinclusief (a public-private cooperation for the transition to a nature-inclusive society). I am associated with Global Infrastructure Basel (CH) and Water Europe (BE). https://gib-foundation.org/ https://watereurope.eu/ At Aveco de Bondt I work as a senior specialist Ecology within the team Sustainability. Here I work within the Nature-Inclusive theme on building and infrastructure projects incorporating biodiversity and climate adaptation in the built environment. I am co-leading the internal movement of EcoBlauw to make sure Aveco projects act from an ecological perspective to realise a positive effect on our surroundings. The Dutch 'Collectief Natuurinclusief' is a public-private cooperation with the ambition to achieve a nature-inclusive society in 2050. It has 10 domains of wich Built Environment is one. This domain focuses on the acceleration of the transition of the Dutch Construction sector to a nature-inclusive one. I am associated specialist Environment at Global Infrastructure Basel where I assist with strategic advise and act as a Nature-based Solutions expert in the MAVA project Nature for Catchment Launchramp. I am member of the Water Europe network where I have initiated and chaired the working group of Green Infrastructure (now WG Nature-based Solutions). Currently I am seated in the visionary leadership team (VLT) Grey-Green Infrastructure.
