About Victor Bolbot

I am a graduate student of the National Technical University of Athens with an M.Eng and PhD from the University of Strathclyde in Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering. During my studies, I received several awards for my performance from organisations such as DNV, IMarEST, Thomaidion, MDPI, Limmat Stiftung, and TRAVISIONS. Shortly after my graduation, I joined one of the prominent Greek shipping companies, where I undertook tasks in the technical and safety management of ships. During my PhD, I conducted research on the hazard identification methods for Cyber-Physical Systems, which is an advancing class of technical systems on ships, with a specific focus on cruise ship blackouts. As a postdoc at the University of Strathclyde and Aalto University, I participated in research projects on the safety, security, sustainability, and cybersecurity of maritime and autonomous systems with companies as Kongsberg, Wärtsilä, ABB, DNV, VTT, SINTEF, ZICOM, BV, DLR, Delta Marine, Metsä and cooperated with researchers from distinguished universities as Singapore University of Technology, Shanghai Maritime University, Malaysia University of Technology, TalTech, Dalhousie University, Abo Akademi, University of Turku, National Technical University of Athens, Aalto University, and University of Strathclyde.
