About Victor Daescu

I am starting my child neurology residency at UT Southwestern June 2023. I graduated from UT Southwestern with a Doctor of Medicine degree May 2023. At UT Dallas, I was a Biology and Healthcare Management student at the University of Texas at Dallas. I was a member of the Collegium V Honors College (CV) and the Davidson Management Honors Program (DMHP) for business students. I was also a member of the Advisory Council for DMHP where I helped advise the program directors on various initiatives and professional development events. For example, I spearheaded a team-building exercise among DMHP advisory council members to improve team integration and cooperation. Another one of my leadership roles was as Volunteer Coordinator for HOSA, an organization for future health professionals. One of my contributions was to preside over a freshman orientation where I introduced prospective members to HOSA; all who visited submitted their emails for further information. For my Junior year, I was the Secretary for UTD HOSA, and I optimized how our members can view their standing in the organization. For my senior year, I was the president of UT Dallas HOSA. My other leadership positions were as Chancellor and former Acting President for the UTD Chi Psi chapter of Delta Sigma Pi where I worked diligently toward chartering our chapter. Finally, I am conversationally fluent in Romanian, and I have strong computer proficiency.
