My name is Victor Garibay, I am a graduate of DePaul University, I majored in Health Science with a concentration in Public Health. I am writing for the interest of the designed position that is advertised. I have various experiences from working in and outside of Universities. In highschool through college, I was working for a Medicaid law firm that allowed me to broaden my experience in public health. I worked with major hospitals all over Illinois. This job allowed me to expand my knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, and Microsoft Word. This experience also allowed me to understand Medicaid in a deeper manner when handling reports. This position also had a copious amount of deadlines, so I am reliable when it comes to reaching a specific time frame. If there seems to be a problem, I make sure that there is strong communication on completing the task.Also with being at St.Ambrose University I also had the opportunity to be a Residential Advisor, this allowed me to gain a different perspective of being a college student. I made sure I was a reliable resource to all students. I ensured that all students felt safe on campus. I assisted students with problem solving academically and personally. Being a residential advisor allowed to think outside of the box, I had to compose campus events for residents. Some events that I conducted were slam poetry, scavenger hunts around campus, and a popular one was sex in the dark. Sex in the dark is where students were able to ask curious questions to a diverse panel while being in the dark. This event won an award for event of the year and was considered a step forward for sexual inclusivity.I hope that some of these experiences from my resumes exemplify the kind of worker I am.
