I am Dr. Victor Markus, an Associate Professor of Medical Biochemistry with a passion for research, education, and mentoring. My journey to success was not the easy way – I faced multiple academic setbacks, attempting SSCE six times and UTME four times. Nevertheless, I became the first-ever first-class graduate in my departmental history at Kaduna State University (Nigeria). I continued my academic pursuit with distinction in both MSc and PhD in Medical Biochemistry from Near East University (Cyprus) and specialized training at Ben-Gurion University of Negev (Israel). Currently, as a researcher and educator, I am committed to advancing knowledge in protein biochemistry and inspiring the next generations of scientists. My mission is to show that persistence, discipline, and resilience can turn any failure into a steppingstone for success. Through my mentorship, teaching, and research, I aim to bridge the gaps in science education and empower students and professionals to realize their full potential.
