As a seasoned professional with over 18 years of experience in both Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) and Software Quality Assurance (QA), I bring a unique blend of technical expertise and strategic oversight to my role as GRC Manager. Currently working in the highly regulated health insurance software industry, I ensure our compliance with a wide range of standards, including AICPA/SOC, ISO 27001, ISO 27017, ISO 27018, and IBM FS. My role involves managing vendor risks, conducting internal and external security audits, and streamlining compliance processes through automation and innovation. One of my core strengths is introducing automation into traditional processes, significantly reducing manual effort and minimizing the risk of human error. My ability to analyze and synthesize requirements across multiple standards allows me to implement efficient, multifaceted compliance strategies that meet rigorous regulatory demands with minimal disruption. My extensive background in IT and software development enables me to effectively bridge the gap between technical teams and security objectives, ensuring that IT and development activities align with our broader security goals. Throughout my career, I have led key initiatives, including the development of a Front-End Automation Framework and the successful release of an award-winning cloud solution in the UK.
