Veteran Professional Arborist in the Parks & Recreation Industry with a specialization and knack for Landscape Design, Green and Blue Infrastructure & Trailways; Best-in-Industry Maintenance & Care Standards; Botany, Agriculture & Horticulture, and LEED, BOMA, ISA, etc. philosophies. I work currently managing and facilitating the conservation and preservation, design and layout of various ecosystems throughout the park; Biodiversity and encouraging the prosperity and flourishing of Native Wildlife is my utmost goal. My responsibilities include the specialized technical and supervisory oversight of stewardship operations, preserve site and conservation efforts, strategic oversight of capital inventory in the sum of according to Best Management Practices (BMP), day-to-day operations to include crew, volunteer and prison workers, and other staff, lifecycle management, ARC-GIS projects, restorative and preventative forestry and landscaping projects to include imperiled ecosystems and related wildlife/fauna, monitoring of communal sicknesses in park and trail populations, maintain and manage 164-acres of a large metropolitan facility and an additional 7.2-acres of trailways, to include the preservation of a 36.4-acres federally protected Natural Forest Community, four (4) recognized archaeological sites, 15-acres of county cemetery land, and the site as a former Operation Pedro Pan camp site, perform administrative duties such as interviewing, discipline, and recommends hiring; evaluates and rates employees’ performance, work with and establishes relationships with related interest groups, stakeholders, and community members such as UF-IFAS, MDCPS, MDPD, MDFR, Commission District 10, USDA, etc. I volunteer currently in my community of Miami Springs and the Greater Miami-Dade County Area with advisement, professional recommendation, and sourcing for environmental restoration, rehabilitation, and preservation efforts.
