About Victoria Blakebrough
My desire is to improve the lives of children and young people. I do this through the pursuit of excellence in all I do and rigorous, compassionate feedback processes, for myself and my team. I believe that education should be delivered by those who are passionate and deeply engaging and that our young people deserve the very best. Whist Head of House I created and led our team to develop many exciting new opportunities for as many of our children as possible and I am proud of the legacy that myself and my team have left. As the A level Religious Studies teacher my classes and I have enjoyed great success, gaining Alps two consistently over the past five years. I had the honour of representing Scotland in various rugby tournaments including the historic six nations competition. I won over 20 caps for my country. Whilst at The University of Glasgow I won two academic scholarships. The Lorimer Bursary for outstanding philosophical achievement and the Stevenship Scholarship for outstanding interpersonal skills. All of the above show my continued commitment to excellence. It is a joy and an honour to serve our young people at Dormers Wells High School, a wonderful place to work.
