I am a senior technician at the CDC, specifically in the Clinical Chemistry Branch (CCB-2) and the Clinical Standardization Program (CSP). My responsibilities include managing inventory, retrieving vials from ULT freezers for shipments, and handling both incoming and outgoing packages. As a Quality Control Specialist at FFP, I ensured the quality and integrity of samples and data. I performed routine testing and analysis of the samples using various laboratory equipment, such as densitometer, refractometer, and spectrophotometer. I also maintained and calibrated the equipment, troubleshooted any issues, and documented the results and procedures. I have over two years of experience in biobanking, having worked as a Senior Biorepository Technician and a Laboratory Supervisor at NexGen Biobanking, where I handled the collection, processing, storage, and distribution of biological specimens. I have developed strong skills in biobanking best practices, biosafety, and quality management systems. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Georgia State University, where I gained a solid foundation in biological sciences and laboratory techniques.
