About Vida Barker

My passion for teaching and love of technology has allowed me to develop and deliver exciting curriculum throughout my career. Working in the Information Technology department has sharpened my skill set and given me enterprise system integration and administration experience in an educational institution. Teaching and learning online and working with publishers, software developers and faculty to create a better learning experience, has broadened my horizons. Completing a Master of Science in Instructional Design and Technology as an online learner has deepened my knowledge of learning theories and best practises while providing invaluable experience as an online student. This combination has further enhanced my contributions to the ongoing development of elearning strategies, implementation planning and deployment. To manage stress, work-life balance and the hours sitting at a keyboard, I put on my Asics and head out for a long run along the waterfront or a country road. I run throughout the coldest winters and hottest summers and am currently training for my next marathon.
