I am a Civil Engineering Technologist with over three years of experience in construction quality control (QC), field inspection, and project coordination across large-scale oil sands, mining, and infrastructure projects in Alberta. Currently working with Terracon Geo-Technique Ltd. in Fort McMurray, I support major clients such as Suncor Energy, Syncrude Canada Ltd, and Canadian Natural Resources Limited (CNRL) by ensuring compliance with civil, drainage, and earthworks specifications. In my current role, I serve as the Construction Quality Control Lead, where I: Conduct detailed field inspections, materials testing, and design verification. Identify and resolve construction conflicts through proactive coordination with engineers, surveyors, and contractors. Review and interpret Civil 3D site layouts and drawings to maintain design accuracy and minimize rework. Support contract administration, submittal reviews, and maintain comprehensive construction documentation and daily reports. Lead safety toolbox talks and promote HSE practices on-site. My key project experience includes: Site Grading & Drainage: Supervising stormwater channels, culverts, and erosion control systems, with a focus on effective surface water and stormwater management. Earthworks & Resource Roads: Overseeing excavation, compaction, and road embankment construction to ensure slope stability and drainage compliance. Culverts & Linear Utilities: Coordinating installation of culverts, utility corridors, and pipelines, monitoring bedding, backfill, and alignment. Piling & Foundations: Conducting QA/QC for micro-piles and cast-in-place foundations, including load and integrity testing. Instrumentation & Monitoring: Installing and calibrating geotechnical instruments such as piezometers, inclinometers, and settlement gauges. I hold diplomas in Building Information Modelling (BIM) & Integrated Practice and Construction Project Management from Fanshawe College, complemented by a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering. My technical toolkit includes AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, Bluebeam, Procore, BIM 360, and Navisworks, along with strong documentation and reporting skills.
