About Vignesh Ramachandran
Currently pursuing Masters in Computer Science at Stony Brook University. Looking out for Summer 2025 SDE/MLE internships. For close to 3 years at Avalara, I built and owned hierarchical text classification applications using state-of-the-art neural networks and best MLOps practices for automated classification of Harmonized System (HS) Codes and Taxcodes. I developed proficiency in the end-end MLOps pipeline including infrastructure provisioning, data gathering, model training, API development, deployment, and monitoring. During my undergraduate studies, I actively participated in ML competitions on Kaggle and won a silver medal (world rank 74 out of 2059 participants) in the Bengali character recognition challenge. I am an avid competitive programmer and have solved over 800 problems across multiple online judges.
