Complete transition of chargebacks process from US leading to a reduction in chargebacks from $185K to $15K within a mere 4 months. • Strengthened and reduce AR Aging (90+) column from 7% to 1% and increase the “current” column from 65% to 84% within 5 months. • Approve and maintain credit lines for approximately new/existing customers while strictly enforcing the corporate credit policy to avoid unnecessary risk. • Prepare AR/Credit monthly reports for management team which includes AR Breakdowns, AR Aging Top 25 Accounts, Consignment, Chargebacks & Profitability Reports. • Manage the daily operations and strategic objectives including implementation and maintenance of all AR business functions and procedures. • Interact with sales team to resolve challenging collection issues and coordinate all credit-related audit reviews with the company’s outside accounting firm. • Review aging reports, negotiate with accounts to arrange payment plans and evaluate appropriate collection actions—up to and including referring accounts at times, to an outside collection agency. • Provide support and training on corporate accounting systems and policies to newly-hired A/R team member. • Assisted in directing all credit, collection and cash applications for the company • Monitored accuracy of daily cash postings received via lockbox, ACH, EDI transfers, wire and credit cards • Researched chargebacks and worked with other departments to recover unauthorized deductions • Processed new dealer applications by conducting pre-sale credit risk evaluation and interpreting Dun & Bradstreet and other credit reports to determine credit worthiness
