About Vijesh Jayan

Ambitious power electronic engineer with a passion to be a part of research initiatives that tackle real-time problems pertinent to future energy sustainability. I am currently working as a Research Scientist in Power Electronics division at Hitachi Energy Research Centre, Västerås, Sweden. I completed my PhD from the School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Singapore, where my research was predominantly aligned with the design & control of multilevel converters and their applications in microgrid. My key skills include System Modelling, Circuit Designing, Real-time Control, & PCB designing. I have also published significant findings of my research work in top-tier Transactions. To access full-text of my publications, please follow my ResearchGate profile -> Prior to my Phd, I worked as a Technical Trainee under Low Carbon Power area (Nuclear division) in Lloyd's Register Energy, Mumbai. I worked on a project to perform ‘Fire Probabilistic Safety Risk Assessment’, a risk analysis study performed on operational nuclear power plants throughout the world. As a part of this project I have experience working on Detailed Fire Modelling, a numerical modelling approach to study the thermal failure of electrical components in a power plant.
