You Win some, you Learn some! That’s my version of the saying. It’s a philosophy that has guided my journey of continuous growth and learning. I am a strategic business leader with over 20 years of experience across industries in domestic & international markets, I am also a successful Entrepreneur. After a good stint in the ITES / service sector, I moved to U.A.E. to explore the product sector. In 10 years there, worked in both general & modern trade segments. Launched new business line increasing retail client base in Dubai, set up branch operations in RAK increasing market share by 20% in distribution. Handled renowned clients like Spinney’s, TCS Group and Carrefour. Added 23 new outlets to client base. Led 24% increase in product listings and generated annual new business of AED320k. With all the above experience & knowledge, returned to India and founded Global Trends, dealing in consumer networking devices involving mix of offline & online business model. Built a dealer & distribution network in Mumbai and other cities across India. Established the business online across major e-commerce platforms. Launched multiple brands and diversified product lines. Set up strong supply chain with foreign suppliers. In the last 3 years at Universal Group, I have orchestrated the establishment of manufacturing units, had them seamlessly integrate with each other, Expanded into new markets, identified new business opportunities, all, while minimizing costs & mitigating risks. Learning from every experience and moving to next level, with impactful roles in Global Sourcing & Procurement, Vendor Management, Product Development, New Business Development, Project Management and P/L ownership. From Retail & wholesale,(General Trade to Modern Trade, Offline to Online), to Imports & Distribution across India, to now Manufacturing & Exports. When not working, I like to catch up with friends over a game of cricket or tennis. Apart from sports, books & music are my go-to options to chill and enjoy my free time. I believe there’s a world full of possibilities out there, with so much more to do, to experience, to learn. As they say, more the merrier.
