About Vikas Shah

Vikas Shah is General Manager & Site Head, Clinical Trials Division (CTD) India; ThermoFisher Scientific. Vikas has professional experience of over 35 years in the pharmaceutical industry across various roles and organizations, including over 25 years in Supply Chain Management. Prior to re-joining ThermoFisher Scientific in 2016, my last assignment was with Cytecare Hospitals Ltd. as General Manager- Projects. I have previously worked with Nightingales Home Health Services as Regional Operations Head and Vice President Supply Chain Management at Cytespace Research Private Ltd. where I was responsible for establishing the Clinical Trial Supplies management business for Cytespace, in addition to supporting company’s strategy in the Site Solutions business. In a prior stint with Fisher BioPharma Services (India) Private Ltd, Vikas was the Vice President – Supply Chain Management and he was responsible for their Ahmedabad (Supply Chain Management) and Bangalore facilities since 2008. Prior to joining Fisher, he worked with Quintiles for over 10 years, in various positions supporting the Site Management and the Clinical Trial Supplies businesses and as Research Associate at Core Healthcare Limited from 1988 to 1997. Vikas is a Postgraduate in Chemistry from Sardar Patel University, Gujarat and has been extensively trained in Supply Chain Management by institutes in India and abroad. He has also completed a Management Development programme at Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad. I have attended several global conferences and meetings that spanned subjects related to clinical research, project management and finance management.
