About Vikram Midha

A determined, enthusiastic and dedicated Economic History undergraduate at the LSE, I am intent on pursuing a legal career as a solicitor. In my time at school, I developed a strong interest in debating, pursuing this by representing them competitively at the English Speaking Union's Schools' Mace Competition in the 2022/23 academic year. As a team, we reached the regional final of the competition - the furthest stage my school had ever reached in it. As a result of my efforts, I was awarded school debating colours along with my teammates. Over the past year, I have been continuously developing my interest and knowledge of law. I began this by completing A&O Shearman's Technology and M&A Law Job Simulation on Forage, completing practical tasks in distributing investor funding, drafting M&A term sheets and disclosure letters, and providing verbal legal advice. I have further pursued this interest by attending Linklaters' in-person fair and Fieldfisher's Summer Insight Day, both of which gave me insight into each firm's respective legal practices and the skills each require to work there. My attendance at the trial of Mr Irakli Rukadze and others vs Recovery Partners GP Ltd. at the UK Supreme Court additionally enabled me to learn about fiduciary law and how court proceedings work. I am also an all-rounded individual that has a huge desire to take part in extra-curricular activities. At school, I represented the 2nd XI football team on several occasions, obtained school drama colours as a result of participating in several plays and delivered a presentation on the political implications of Novak Djokovic's 2022 vaccination saga in their academic society, as part of my status as a sixth form scholar, in addition to my debating commitments. At university, I have taken part in their social tennis and table tennis clubs, and joined their Law and Economic History societies, in addition to being appointed as the Social Secretary of the Sports Business society for the upcoming academic year, leading in organising social events.
