Background

About Vikram Paul

I currently serve in a legal, compliance, and operations function at Ethic, a Series D fintech startup that works with financial advisors and institutions to build values-aligned investment portfolios. I previously served as General Manager for North America at an international legal tech startup called SpotDraft, and I am a former corporate lawyer. At SpotDraft, I spearheaded the execution of our go-to-market strategy in the US. I instituted systems and process improvements to help our growing team scale effectively from its Series Seed stage through a $26 million Series A fundraise. As a lawyer practicing in New York, I advised startups on venture deals and worked with CEOs and GCs as their outside counsel to resolve day-to-day legal issues. I helped companies at various stages in their lifecycles, from formation through late-stage financings. When I get the opportunity, I like to explore destinations far removed from my home in a big city. Some of the more interesting places I have found myself include the Zarafshan Mountain Range in northern Tajikistan, the Kalahari Desert in Botswana, and Bukit Lawang in the jungles of Sumatra.
