About Vikrant Deshmukh

I'm a Senior Systems Engineer at ACI Worldwide with over 16 years of experience in IT, focusing on automation processes while providing production support. Automation is my PASSION, I've saved almost 90 hours a month for my team, reducing all kind of manual work into automated scripts/jobs, enhancing efficiency, streamlining processes and reducing manual errors. I work with tools and technologies like Ansible, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm Charts, OpenShift/Tanzu, and CI/CD pipelines, and I have expertise in shell, Python, and batch scripting. While I am a strong team player who helps many teams and people, my unique strength lies in being a great individual contributor, consistently delivering high-quality results. Outside of work, I enjoy photography, cooking, sculpting, gardening, painting, sketching, and trekking. Nowadays, I'm learning Jyotish (Vedic astrology) as a hobby and developing an app for it using Django, Python, HTML5, and JavaScript (leveraging power of AI tools like github-copilot and chatgpt. I use a GitHub repository to store the code and deploy it on Nginx using Gunicorn on an EC2 instance, which is created using Terraform.
