Skilled and results-driven engineering manager with about 9 years of managerial experience and 24 years of experience in software engineering in total. As a people/technical manager over 5 years I managed development and QA teams (up to 15 FTE) in the Media Processing domain: delivery of cross-platform (Linux/Win/Osx) media processing components, SDK and products for non-linear editing and streaming. Also, as a program manager for 3 years, I managed programs (up to 6 distributed teams) in the Consumer Electronics domain: firmware, connectivity and compliance programs for IoT security devices. My expertise includes building products and managing teams through all project phases with diving deep into architecture and technical details, hiring and building new teams and helping them to grow. I have ~10 years of hands-on experience as an engineer in C++, Python, Lua, performance analysis and optimization, video/audio codecs, formats and containers. Also I have 12 years of teaching experience in Technical University with about 5 courses in Computer Engineering and multiple R&D projects. Co-author of the patent US9,955,183 about solutions for open to closed GOP conversion in inter-frame video compression. Technical background: C++, Python, Lua, media processing techniques and algorithms, performance analysis and optimization, development for Win, Osx, Linux, video/audio codecs, formats and containers (h.26x, DNx, ProRes/RAW, J2K, DV, AAC, MPEG audio, AC3, DPX, OpenEXR, MXF, MOV, MP4), network protocols, TCP/IP, Git/AccuRev, Jenkins, Nexus.
