About Viktor Nikolic

I combine a background in social sciences with hands-on IT experience to lead projects that improve team collaboration, communication, and efficiency. I hold a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Social Policy and Social Work from the Faculty of Philosophy, graduating with a GPA of 8.6. My studies provided a solid foundation in psychology, sociology, and law, which strengthened my communication, negotiation, and team dynamics skills. I also developed strong time management and discipline, successfully passing all exams on time with above-average grades. One of my most significant projects at university was working with the local NGO sector to introduce a "Home Care" service for the elderly in Preševo. I wrote the service plan, proposed an advocacy model, and provided expert guidance to the NGO. The municipality accepted the proposal, securing 6 million RSD in annual funding from the national budget, creating 5 new jobs and integrating the service into the local system. In the IT sector, I led the implementation of ISO 27001 (information security) and maintained ISO 9001 for a company with 50 employees. I managed all phases, including planning, documentation, communication with auditors, and ensuring successful certification. Currently, I work as a Project Manager at a company developing WordPress and Magento websites. My role includes- Planning tasks in Jira and tracking time usage- Resolving issues with developers- Communicating with clients, developers, and managers to align goals- Organizing meetings and managing documentation. I’ve worked with clients such as: 3dhlbs (NYC marketing agency), Novak Djokovic Foundation, Novak Djokovic Shop, Nomad Defense, Lin-Manuel Miranda's team, Ambar Restaurants, and Fashion & Friends. Projects included website migrations, content optimization, technical maintenance, and communication between teams and clients. Outside of work, I’m active in JCI (Junior Chamber International), contributing to events, workshops, and expanding my leadership skills and network. Looking ahead, my goal is to continue growing in the software development industry, focusing on- Leading agile teams using Scrum and Jira- Learning through mentorship- Improving processes, communication, and human-centered project management. I’m open to new challenges in dynamic environments that value proactivity, development, and a people-first approach.
