About Vikul Chander

I approach life with simplicity, a trait that comes naturally to me, tiding me over life’s many episodes—whether it was studying for exams, playing a sport, parenting, or leading a 250+ employee organization globally. Over the past 20 years, I have evolved from an overexcited startup founder to a squash-crazy and whisky-loving, steady and sound leader. My biggest learning in this journey has been that the version of yourself or your business that worked yesterday is obsolete today, and constant evolution and adaptation are key. Over the years, I have discovered that my natural professional inclinations lie in product imagination and re-imagination, strategic partnerships, and sales. After I crept out of my nest, most of my 20+ year grind is dominated by my stint as the Founder and Leader of the pack at Alliances Galore, Asia's foremost aggregator of offers, rewards, and vouchers across various domains such as F&B, Shopping, Health and Wellness, and Travel in both the offline and e-commerce space. Here, we curated an esteemed client list, particularly within the Banking and Telecom industries across Asia. On the supply side, we strategized and created a distribution network spanning 350+ towns and cities across India and over 20 countries globally, engaging close to a million merchants at its peak. After leading the company for 14 years, I orchestrated a successful exit in 2023 following its acquisition by Thriwe in 2021. NOW! In my current avatar, I have created a support system in the form of an extended leadership team for businesses that we, as a group, feel we can scale up. In my early years, through consultancies, internships, and short employment stints, I contributed to several notable organizations such as Standard Chartered, PepsiCo India, ITC, Time Out Magazine, Essar Group, and various F&B outlets and groups. The learnings from these experiences acted as a foundation for the little empire I eventually created. Throughout my career, I have kept at it and kept it real, always grounded in my approach and committed to continuous personal and professional growth.
