About Vinayak Narayan

I am currently working as a Systems Engineering Consultant following my Master's degree in Space Engineering and Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering. I am a highly motivated and ambitious engineer with a passion for advancing human space exploration and utilising technology to improve our understanding of the universe. My coursework has included specialised classes in satellite design, propulsion systems, aerodynamics, structures, materials, and manufacturing. My strong analytical skills and ability to think creatively make me well-suited to finding innovative solutions to complex problems and making a meaningful impact in the field of space engineering. My aerospace engineering experience includes hands-on projects such as participating in the IMechE UAS Challenge 2022 and 2023 where I was the team leader and led a group of 13 engineers to design, manufacture, build and flight test a VTOL aircraft. Additionally, I have experience in project management and systems engineering principles, which I have applied to various design projects. In addition to my technical skills, I have experience working with diverse groups of people. I've worked as a camp counsellor, teaching target sports and STEM to children aged 5-15. I've also worked as a tour guide in London during my gap year and was an RAF Air Cadet for 5 years during secondary school. These experiences gave me a unique perspective and taught me how to effectively communicate, lead teams and work with other people.
