I am an IT professional with over 30 years of progressive growth in my career. I am focused and comfortable leading teams in a variety of settings. I have a broad range of business and management skills that are transferable to other industries. I am not afraid to roll up my sleeves to do what it takes to get the job done. I take care of my clients by treating them as I would like to be treated. I am proactive, responsive and detail-oriented, and can still see the big picture. I am comfortable dealing with people at any level within an organization. I will never ask a team member to do that which I would not do myself. I firmly believe that there is a clear difference between doing it right and doing the right thing. My background is centered around computing Infrastructure - servers, desktops, LAN/WAN and with operating systems such as those from Microsoft, IBM, Apple and others. What gets me up in the morning is the ability to help clients leverage the best out of their investment in IT by using my business and technical skills to help find a solution. Having walked a few miles in their shoes, I can speak the language of the business owner or the IT support team. I have worked on many small, medium and large-scale deployments of these technologies in the Healthcare, Manufacturing, Energy and Transportation sectors. I recognize that applications and their needs drive infrastructure planning. When I'm not working in IT, I enjoy doing Auxiliary Communications (EmComm) via Amateur Radio as VE6LK, and exploring the underwater world as a PADI certified SCUBA diver.
