About Vince Jeevar

Academic Qualifications: Demonstrated strong academic background and commitment to life-long learning. Earned a Ph.D. in Psychology with an Emphasis in Performance Psychology and currently pursuing an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership. Teaching Experience: Highly experienced professor having taught over 120 courses (over students) at various institutions, including Northern Michigan University, Capella University, South College, and Bay de Noc Community College. Student Success: Consistently earned high student evaluation scores due to his innovative teaching methods, including the use of AI. His contributions have been recognized with the Stephen Shank Award. Ongoing research in AI's educational impact continues to promote student success in the digital age. Innovation in Teaching: Recognized with the 2022 Technology Innovation Award from Northern Michigan University. Commitment to utilizing technology, including AI, in the classroom demonstrates dedication to providing a modern, engaging, and effective learning environment for his students. Current Ed.D. Action Research Project exploring AI in Education. Research Contributions: Director of the ASPIRE Research Lab, with diverse research interests in social identity, mental health, and the use of AI in education. On a personal level, I'm a Christian, happy husband, proud dad, ex-youth soccer coach. I enjoy studying psychology, theology, playing guitar, soccer (Dale, dale, ATX!), and writing (when the urge takes me). I didn't do well in school and learned more about history, mythology, and literature from Iron Maiden than I did in class, but I came good in the end. I'm a supporter of wildlife protection and conservation, especially wolves, birds, and trees. I support MBTA and putting wolves back on the endangered list, and pretty much anything that's good for wildlife.
