For as long as I can remember, my mind was always split between Cartesian subjects (# Sciences,# Mathematics) and the human-component of soft sciences (# Psychology,# History). As a graduated engineer in Chemistry (# polymers), my first experience for the company Bosch (# Automotive,# Rubber industry) was ideal. Move from France to Belgium in a German company has cemented my multicultural (# Foreign colleagues,# Foreign Customers) and multilingual (# English,# Spanish,# Dutch,# German) approach. There, I could develop myself as a dynamic R&D-Team Member always eager to accept new assignments: • Basic research in coating (# Coating formulation,# Coating suppliers,# Coating application)+ Analytical chemistry (# Surface characterization,# Minitab)=> product/process developer (# Testing,# DOE) • Structured “way-of-thinking” from DFSS-Black Belt education program (# QFD,# Problem Solving,# FMEA)+ discipline (# 5S)+ aspiration to bind people (# Interpersonal skills,# MBTI-Type)=> task-force moderator (# Slides-show,# Scrum,# Reporting,# Unifying simulations / testing / material development ) • The last year I was nominated as project leader for a ratio project: from start (# Feasibility,# Risk assessment) to project carry-over (# Sensitivity analysis on benefits,# Product cost decomposition,# Quality gates,# Project life cycle and deadlines fulfilment) I can’t consider to work in a conflictual environment thus I will always look for a compromise. I will never decline an opportunity to see what is happening in the field or at the customer (# voice of customer,# reliability). After some bends in 2 other companies (# Impregnated Mica Products # Polymers ageing in nuclear environment), I am finally back to my first love (automotive) in a region where I grew up.
