About Vincent Jacobs

It doesn't work if it is not open. — Frank Zappa After years of trying to decide whether I wanted to become a technologist or a linguist, I decided to become something inbetween and graduated as a computational linguist. Years later, I found out that I'm still on that quest. Every day I'm drawn to the magical place where very different things collide. This is where the unexpected happens, and new ideas and concepts are born. I have more than twenty years of hands-on experience in all aspects of dreaming up, designing and building software. I love to work with powerful teams that stand for their own beliefs. I create organizations that are self-confident, determined and know exactly where opportunity meets succes. I’m a strategic and undogmatic thinker that values openness in communication above all else. I'm worried about climate change and believe we should try harder every day to solve this problem together. I'm interested in semantic web technology, tinkering with microcontrollers and slaving in the hot sun to ride my fully-packed bike uphill – just to blaze downhill again.
