About Vincent Sands

Vincent J. Sands, PE, is a senior executive and board-facing leader with more than 30 years of experience building, scaling, and governing engineered industrial, energy, and cleantech businesses across public and private enterprises. He currently serves as Executive Vice President of Thermal Energy International (TSX: TMG), where he leads enterprise growth strategy, international expansion, and operating model development across multiple business units within a publicly traded environment.In parallel, Mr. Sands continues to serve as President of Boilerroom Equipment Inc.(BEI), a profitable cleantech subsidiary he founded and scaled from startup through successful multinational acquisition. As a business unit leader with full P&L responsibility, he has driven sustained revenue growth, margin expansion, and organizational scalability within a public company structure.Mr. Sands is recognized for combining deep technical expertise with disciplined execution and strong governance. His experience spans advanced manufacturing, industrial energy systems, and global sales leadership, including roles with organizations including English Boiler & Tube, Aalborg Industries, and Cannon Boiler Works. His background includes hands-on responsibility for propulsion and power generation systems across a broad range of combustion systems, including legacy solid- and waste-fuel technologies.As an entrepreneur and inventor he developed and commercialized advanced heat-recovery technologies that significantly reduce industrial energy consumption and carbon emissions. He is the sole author of proprietary heat-transfer engineering software that formed the technical foundation of BEI’s market leadership. Outside of his core executive responsibilities, Mr. Sands is actively engaged in emerging energy resilience technologies, with a focus on next-generation emergency power systems for mission-critical infrastructure, including alternatives to conventional battery-based architectures and thermal-to-mechanical energy storage.Mr. Sands holds a Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering and Naval Architecture from the United States Merchant Marine Academy and completed the majority of his MBA studies at Penn State University. He is a licensed Professional Engineer. He served as an engineering officer in the U.S. Merchant Marine and U.S. Navy Reserve, attaining the rank of Lieutenant Commander. He was recognized by General Colin Powell for service at sea during Operation Desert Storm. He brings a performance-driven mindset shaped by experience as a NASCAR-sanctioned driver.
