About Vineeth Jacob

I have 17 years of extensive telecom experience in multiple roles like software developer, Operations lead and in QA Management. In these 17 years I had worked with multiple products, platforms and people. I started my career on Jun 1st, 2006, as an Intern in Siemens Corporate Technologies in the field of machine vision and industrial automation. in Dec 2006 I joined MAC Telecom Technologies as a software developer. I was involved in the development of SIP Gateway. I worked in Mavenir in two phases. One as contract Employe from 2008 to 2010 and as permanent employe since Aug 2012. From Dec 2010 to Aug 2012, I was working as Operations lead for Indusface Telecom Technologies (Previously Sogno Systems). I was handling two projects, OTAF and LBS at Reliance Communications. I was involved in the execution of POC, ATP, FUT and Production launches. On 8th Aug 2012 I joined Mavenir as Test lead. In the initial one and a half years I was testing TAS supplementary features. Later moved to PRS ST team to support a POC in Bell. I was leading all the PRS ST and Capacity activities for TMO, BELL and MTS. Since 2018 I am leading MAAP ST team. This is a platform which integrates Chatbots on AI networks to the users in Telecom network. In this time, I got opportunity to work on multiple IMS nodes like SBC, CSCF, RCS, WRG, WSG etc. I brought up all the MAAP nodes and RCS (sipp and mcap) BOT simulators (Python) scripts in ST environment from scratch. I formed a team of 10 Engineers (ST+Capacity+Automation).Right now MAAP has been tested in four different flavors of platform ie, Integrated VMs, NFV, MWP and Azure. My job consists of effort estimation of FRNs, handling planned G3 and emergency deliveries, and handling customer escalations and support team to bring up and test nodes in various platforms. I also lead a team of Engineers to automate all the sanity and regression scenarios. For this we are using Selenium for Portal automation and ROBOT framework for Calls. In a nutshell I am handling PRS and MAAP ST with a team of Engineers and leads reporting to me. Knowledge in IMS network, Platform knowledge (Linux,Dockers,Kubernetes, Azure), QA automation, people and escalation management are my strong areas. During this time in Mavenir I also travelled to different US and EU customer sites to support ATP and Production launches.
