About Vinessa Giannecchini

I am a South African Chartered Accountant, working in Luxembourg for 13 years. At Castlelake, I was the Finance Operations Manager, responsible for a team of 3 people who were responsible for the day to day management of a large portfolio of Luxembourg holding companies. This included financial reporting, tax compliance and cash management. My time at Axa REIM Luxembourg, was spent as a consolidation expert. I was responsible for the quarterly preparation of the consolidated financial reporting for 5 pan-European Real Estate IFRS Funds (1 of which is listed on the LSE). I was also responsible for the annual financial reporting for these Funds and the planning and oversight of the audit process. Before this I worked at TIAA-CREF as a senior manager, responsible for the Luxembourg office and oversight of the accounting of the international real estate assets. Before that I was as Associate Director of Fund Accounting in an American multi-national real estate company. The position entailed responsibility for 2 teams maintaining the back-office function of 2 pan-European real estate funds. This includes preparation of consolidated quarterly and annual (audited) financial statements compliant with IFRS. Monthly and quarterly reporting to Senior Management based in the US & UK. Liquidity analysis and planning. Annual budget and quarterly reforecast preparation. Day-to-day management of 60-70 holding entities. Liaising with external auditors, internal legal and tax departments for best accounting practices.
