I pursued my education at Columbia College Chicago, majoring in both Fine Arts and Fiction Writing, while also minoring in French. I graduated with honors, later obtaining my BA in English with a minor in Art History from the University of Vermont. Subsequently, I embarked on a fruitful career at Phoenix Books, a chain of independent bookstores in Vermont. Initially managing their social media accounts for nearly a year, I was soon promoted to the role of Digital Marketing Coordinator, a position that beautifully aligned with my unique skills and talents. My passion for the publishing world deepened during my tenure at Upper Access Publishing, where I served as an editorial assistant. This experience granted me a comprehensive understanding of industry trends and publishing standards for trade books. I gained firsthand insight into the intricacies of the publishing process, from production and editing to the meticulous organization of manuscripts for publication. My background in bookselling has endowed me with a broad knowledge of diverse genres and age groups. As a dedicated reader, I consistently devour more than 100 books each year and have extended my love for literature to beta reading for emerging authors, as well as contributing my own writing and influencing online. Additionally, I successfully completed the prestigious Columbia Publishing Course in Oxford, UK. This intensive four-week program in Fall 2023 enhanced my skills and knowledge across all facets of book publishing. Presently, I am serving as a literary intern for the Corvisiero Literary Agency, where my responsibilities encompass contract negotiations, manuscript preparation for publication, and manuscript evaluations. I have also played a pivotal role in creating digital design campaigns for one of the agency's New York Times bestselling authors. I am driven by a profound belief in the enchantment of storytelling. It is my fervent aspiration to utilize my passion and expertise to continue collaborating with authors, enabling them to share their stories with the world. I am dedicated to shaping the publishing industry into an inclusive and impactful arena where every voice can find its audience and be heard.
