About Violet Chan

Violet Chan has over 10 years experience working with adolescents, families and individuals as an agent of support. She received her Master’s in Social Work (MSW) from The University of Hong Kong and her Bsocsc(Hon) in Counselling and Psychology. After her graduation, she worked in a pilot cyber youth project in Hong Kong. Violet has been working in an integrated family service and multi-addiction prevention centre as a Social Worker; university and college as a Student Counsellor; palliative day care centre as a Community Liaison Officer. Violet is dedicated and determined to bring healing to those in need. To sharpen her clinical skills, she has received clinical training and supervision from Howard Shaffer, Ph.D, Harvard Medical School, Division on Addiction. She is interested in career, expressive art and spirituality. Violet trained as a MBTI practitioner and received a Family Therapy Certificate; training in adolescent mental health, mental health first aid, EMDR and motivational interviewing. Violet received training for the Career Development Professional Programme from Langara College, BC.
