About Viraj Dave

One of my earliest memories as a child, was learning how a computer worked. I was fascinated with the idea that technology can help to solve the biggest challenges in the world. That curiosity to solve challenges and problems led me to a choose a career in technology. Knowing how fast the world changes, made me understand the capabilities technology can do to help and create globally. However, as I went through my studies to become a computer engineer, I wasn't quite sure what I wanted to specialize in. My internship opportunities allowed me to very versatile in different roles and industries. I started very technical in government, and grew to include different technical positions in high tech and in banking. I learned that roles in technology are filled with endless possibilities. Feel free to read more in my article I wrote about my internships and what I learned- These roles lead to me where I am today. Currently, I am at Bell Canada, a Canadian telecommunications company, specifically in their Wireless division. I started very technical as a software developer working on internal process to help monitor power infrastructure. However, I have moved from being a software developer to a strategy role as a Technical Product Manager within the same team as my current role. Given my technical background and big picture curiosity, the role of Technical Product Manager is the perfect blend of the two disciplines, technology and strategy. I get to work on solving various security and network challenges which lead to proposals. Once proposed, I get to see those proposals and ideas get executed as products and present the outcomes to senior leaders to continue to drive toward future success. On most days, I am obsessing on what the needs of our internal and external stakeholders are. You'll see me work closely with a multi-disciplined team of network, security and technology experts and senior leaders influencing them with data, strategy and technology possibilities to make their lives as smooth as possible when dealing with network outages and problems. I am a self-driven, passionate, customer oriented product manager who wants to continue to make an impact on products to continue evolving the goals of people, organizations and society at large.
