About Viren Soni

I am a Pharmaceutical Scientist, currently an NIH T-32 Clinical Pharmacology Postdoctoral Fellow with a Doctorate in Pharmaceutical Chemistry. I have the knowledge, skills, and experience in the development and validation of analytical methods using LC-MS and HPLC for various drug molecules for PK/PD studies in patient plasma, tissue, and pre-clinical samples. Additionally, I possess expertise in the characterization of drug metabolites in pre-clinical and clinical samples. Furthermore, I hold the knowledge and practice in developing and characterizing novel formulations of various dosage forms with different drug molecules. Moreover, I gained experience in the pharmaceutical industry as an analytical chemist developing analytical methods for APIs, and pre-formulated, and finished drug products for the US and worldwide markets. Lastly, I developed a strong knowledge base and skill set in synthetic organic/medicinal chemistry, including the production of milligrams to multi-gram quantities of novel molecules to treat different diseases and analytical skills in characterizing synthesized intermediates, final compounds, as well as pharmacological evaluations in partnership with an academic laboratory.
