About Virendra Gohil

As the Director of Scientific Services (Microbiology) and Laboratory partnerships, I was responsible for upgrading partnership laboratories to ISO 17025 accreditation, management and operations. I was managing a team of Scientific Specialists that provide technical support and expertise to the all Food Microbiology laboratories in US and Canada. This includes the verification/validation of test methods/results to support both internal and external client needs. My strategic focus is on creating innovative, customized food science and safety solutions as it relates monitoring, designing and execution of research projects focused on challenge study and process verification. My consultative input was paramount to the design and build of BV/Maxxam's network of Food Microbiology labs, including the state of the art facility located in Mississauga. I have a passion for the continuous improvement of both the science and operational components of the Food Microbiology Laboratories. I have more than 25 years of work experience in analytical microbiology and developmental work in the field of Food and Environmental Microbiology. Previously I have worked as Department Head of the Microbiology laboratory at the environmental laboratory in Ontario that focused on regulatory Environmental samples in the region. I have also worked over 12 years at the Food Control laboratory in Dubai, UAE adding to his experience abroad.
