About Virginia Bailey

I am a fourth-year student in the School of Nursing at the University of Virginia, graduating in May 2024. I am eagerly seeking a new graduate (RN I) nursing position in pediatrics and critical care. I am certified in BLS and non-violent crisis prevention and will have completed over 700 clinical hours by graduation. I have experience in pediatrics, adult cardiology (IMU), general medicine, obstetrics, psych, and public health. Through this experience, I have improved my assessment, leadership, communication, and hands-on nursing skills. During nursing school, I was a teaching assistant for first-year students in human anatomy and physiology, and am a research assistant investigating the connection between sleep and brain health in adults with mild cognitive impairment. These positions taught me to take initiative and manage my time appropriately while learning valuable teaching skills that I’ve translated to providing patient education. I am currently seeking employment as a new graduate-level nurse in a nurse residency program on the East Coast.
