About Virginia Muralt

I have a passion and love all things jewellery. I first found my passion for jewellery fabrication and design while attending Haliburton School of the Arts for Jewellery Essentials. From there, I attended the Jewellery Arts Program at George Brown College to further my knowledge and skills in the jewellery trade. During the summer of 2018 I worked as a in-house bench jeweller at Serindipin’ Art in beautiful Saint Andrews, New Brunswick and was hired full time after I graduated in 2019. Unfortunately, due to the Covid 19 pandemic I was laid off and had to move back to my hometown of Kingston, Ontario. However, the last few years I’ve been working on my own business, and striving to keep my passion and skills alive for jewellery fabrication and design. In October 2021 I won first runner up for Canada in the De Beers Shining Light Awards, a jewellery design competition to highlight the talents of young jewellery designers in the diamond mining countries of Canada, South Africa, Botswana & Namibia. From this I was awarded the amazing opportunity to return back to George Brown College and complete my Gemmology Certificate.
