About Vishaal Pathak

I think of employment as a merger that must transcend the security of a monthly paycheck. Such that there be no need for an incentive for an employee to turn up and turn in his work. In short, the org must enrich me as much as I enrich the org with my work. My Bachelors (ECE, NIT Allahabad), undergrad internship (Ericsson - Supply Chain, Telecom Equipment) and post-Bachelors work experience (Qualcomm) hovered around Telecom/Semiconductors/Wireless, and it continues to be my area of expertise. While I coded and debugged protocols in C, I also mined patterns from binaries. This meant that I developed an eye for detail, a genuine appetite for research, a keen interest in garnering insights and an analytical framework for problem solving. Any problem, be it Marketing/Finance/Operations/Product Development, needs a data-centric approach, for which I feel my experience in Technology has equipped me well. During my MBA (IIM Kozhikode), I worked on projects from different domains, donned several hats, and tinkered with many ideas to appreciate what it takes to turn a value proposition into a viable product in the hands of a consumer. I am open to working across sectors and across functions, with a daily challenge thrown at me as the only prerequisite. I enjoy writing, and any assignment with a scope for writing is always welcome.
