About Vishal Mehta

As a Principal and Head of Finance, Accounting and Operations at Ares Management Corporation, I leverage my 24+ years of finance experience and my credentials as a Chartered Accountant and a CFO Program graduate from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta. Ares Management is a leading global alternative investment manager with over $380 billion in assets under management across credit, private equity, real asset and seconderies strategies. In my current role, I have successfully set up and implemented a Global Capability Center for operating subsidiaries in the alternate credit/ asset management space, with the goal of creating a center of excellence in India and delivering business value. I have also built and led cross-functional high-performance teams, managed matrix organizations, achieved service delivery and organizational targets, and run efficient accounting operations. I have established strong customer relations with stakeholders across US, UK and APAC, and navigated cross-cultural and organizational influences. I have demonstrated my expertise in financial planning and analysis, financial control, operations, process migrations, policy design, business strategy, and system implementation. I am passionate about driving innovation, efficiency, and growth in the finance domain.
