Today, though digital technology is involved in almost everything I do throughout the day, my journey with the digital world began only in 2007 when I first used the computer in my C programming lab during the start of my engineering course. Little did I know back then, that I would be working in an industry that contributes immensely to improving the quality of life and social progress. While my interest in technology and eagerness to learn new things continue today, my professional career started as a Programmer Analyst Trainee nearly 13 years ago with a great bunch of fellow trainees. The past 13 years of my IT career have been progressive in terms of the roles that I have performed, the opportunities I had, the responsibilities I took, and the skills I have acquired. Today, I'm an ambitious leader, a problem solver, and an excellent engineer with good technical proficiency in my field. I'm also an active listener and a skilled communicator who can effectively translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable information to articulate and deliver the right and relevant message to technical and non-technical stakeholders. I believe that open and clear communication, mutual trust and respect, shared goals, and individual accountability are key to creating highly effective, high-performing, and successful engineering teams. I'm currently performing a software engineering manager role in one of the cloud migration teams that is not only building a new AWS cloud infrastructure for one of the complex and critical applications but is also managing the day-to-day operations of the same. My typical work week in leading and managing a team of infrastructure engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions involve • working closely with leadership teams to drive technical initiatives, track and report the overall progress, and escalate where necessary. • strategic planning, organizing, and alignment of team's work with broader organisation goals and setting appropriate priorities and milestones. • leading the team through design and implementation, and cross-functional team collaboration to anticipate, identify, and mitigate technical and delivery risks and impediments. • ensuring the team is equipped to swiftly and effectively adapt to upcoming organisational changes or policies. • encouraging ownership and accountability among the team, creating a focused space for engineers to do their work efficiently and effectively by dealing with ambiguities in an interruption-driven environment, and fostering growth and learning within the team.
