About Visnja Sijacic

Visnja Sijacic received her BA in Law from the Law Faculty of Economy and Justice, University Business Academy, Novi Sad and obtained her Master degree in International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights from the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Political Sciences in 2018. Visnja Sijacic is currently working as a Legal analyst (Project manager) at the Humanitarian Law Centre (Belgrade, Serbia). Prior to this, she worked as a legal trainee at the Law office of Mr Dejan Kljajić (Novi Sad, Serbia). She also worked as a project manager at the Youth center CK13 (Novi Sad, Serbia), and as a Financial manager at the Philosophy student's club "Gerusija"(Novi Sad, Serbia), where she has had excellent opportunities to participate in different projects. During her studies, Sijacic gained an extensive non-formal education and practice in fields closely related to Human Rights, Humanitarian Law and Transitional Justice through participation in numerous number of prestigious non-degree schools and voluntary work in Human Rights and Humanitarian non-governmental organizations. Her academic interests and research areas extend to international public law, especially human rights, international humanitarian law, international criminal law and transitional justice and other fields of international law. In a nutshell, Visnja Sijacic can be described as a dynamic, passionate, driven worker, with a keen interest in widening practical work experience in the field of Human Rights and Transitional Justice. She has exceptionally strong communication and interpersonal skills which have been acquired through interaction with colleagues and fellow students from around the world.
