About Vit Jan

I have had various work experiences although they were always somehow connected to engineering or communicating knowledge to people, or both. I worked in a classical organ building company - wood, brass, tin pipes, tuning, making the whole vast mechanical system work and make music. That was incredible. I also run a jewellery studio where I design and make my own pieces from metals, stones and polymers. I like the freedom there since it has never been any close to a substantial money source, I can do whatever pleases me and people buy it from time to time. Also witnessed a rough take-down of a private company (not mine, but I was close enough to take lessons). And I also had various science-laboratory experiences in Czech Republic, Slovakia and Japan. Always enjoyed working with people on solving experimental problems. And I very much hope that my students feel that I put a lot of energy in my lectures and that this energy reaches them in the lecture room-)
