About Vitali Pool

As a physician and medical epidemiologist with over two decades of experience in drug safety, pharmacovigilance, pharmacoepidemiology, and vaccinology, I am dedicated to advancing public health through rigorous scientific research and data-driven decision-making. Serving as a Medical Director at Sanofi, I designed and executed post-licensure safety and effectiveness studies, conducted real-world evidence generation research, and benefit-risk assessments to ensure the safety and effectiveness of pharmaceutical products. My expertise spans pharmacovigilance, Phase 1-4 clinical trials, systematic literature reviews, and medical information support. Previously, I contributed to global patient safety at Eli Lilly, focusing on adverse events ICSR and case-series reviews and aggregate safety analyses, risk management, post-marketing pharmacovigilance, automated signal detection, and large database data mining. Earlier in my career, I held research and epidemiology roles at the CDC, where I worked on vaccine safety studies, spontaneous and active surveillance systems, and risk communication initiatives. With a background in infectious diseases, public health, and epidemiology, I am passionate about leveraging real-world data and scientific insights to enhance drug safety, inform policy, and protect patients worldwide.
