Hello! I love to design I love to design experiments, analyze, and brainstorm the implications of research findings with my teammates, and manage multiple research projects to deliver results in a timely manner. To accomplish this, I focus on key findings,conceptualize future scientific directions, collaborate with an amazing team of scientists, and schedule regular check-ins to achieve targets. My doctoral thesis was based on the production of lignocellulosic enzyme Laccase which was obtained from marine fungi and the obtained enzyme was purified and optimised by RSM and further was employed in the biodegradation of Anthracene a PAH compound. Research interests * I have extensive experience in the field of water quality assessment by analysing the nutrients load in freshwater, estuaries, open waters. The nutrients such as nitrites, nitrates, total nitrogen, ammonia, inorganic and total phosphorous was estimated using standard procedures. Similarly the sediment nutrients such as the soil texture, soil tp, soil heavy metal was also analysed using standard procedures. I was involved as a JRF in a project funded by Ministry of Earth sciences -Govt of India ( SIBER- IMBER)(Sustained Indian Ocean bio geochemical and environmental research) which was investigated by Dr.S.T Balasubramanian the former dean and director of Cas in Marine biology, Parangipettai. My major role was to interpret the data’s of water quality nutrients and sediment nutrients for a period of four years (2011-2015) in various seasons such as Pre-monsoon, summer, monsoon, Postmonsoon the samples was collected in the vellar and coleroon estuary and near shore waters of parangipettai south east coast of India.* I have also participated in many consultancy projects As a team we analyse the biological and microbial diversity in the given location and submit the reports by interpretation of the data’s derived. I have extensive experience of 4 years in Environment impact studies and assessment (EIA) for marine ecosystem and port construction and the impact of flora and marine biota of the proposed locations.* As a post doctoral fellow I am involved in the waste water treatment using passive aeration simultaneous nitrification and denitrification where the major role was to decrease the ammonia, nitrites, and total nitrogen concentration in the water along with the BOD, COD and Ammonia using Annamox bacterial biofilm incorporated into the reactor using the PU foam and MBBRs
