About Vivek P.

Well, after I insisted a lot, my father got me a computer when I was in grade 7 and I remember writing my first code back then in QBasic! I quickly found out my interest in programming and that's how I'm here as a software professional penning down my summary! Apart from programming, I'm really passionate about playing piano and I've found a fine balance of time between programming and music. Hence, I took up my final year project of generating automated music notation from a midi file that I exported from my Yamaha Keyboard and imported into the application. That was my first professional grade desktop application which scored me a 10/10 for the project credits in my final sem. Came the turn of campus placement and I landed up at Infosys as a trainee and finally after the training got over, I was a working professional pursuing my passion! I worked for Infosys' second largest client! Quickly, I realized I was performing repetetive setup tasks daily at my workplace and I decided to automate all of them. This indeed got me an award from Infy. I also developed other automation tools which were nominated for Infosys Zero Distance initiative where clients are proposed tools which they can benefit from and Infosys can get paid for the same if client shows interest. 3 years there and I switched my job at a US based startup with 3 times the package I had at Infy. This of-course changed my job title from Senior Systems Engineer to Technology Lead! In all these years, I've worked on multiple technologies and I'm fortunate to have worked on all the trending Mobile, Web & Desktop development technologies. I've had a chance to work on Frontend, Backend as well as Databases ranging from RDBMS, NoSQL & Graph. Moreover, I've had hands-on experience working on cross-platform Mobile & Desktop applications as well. With all this experience combined, I'm proud to call myself a Full Stack Developer!
