VIVIAN BARON founded Band of Insiders, the high-profile Mexico City strategic communications company, in 2012. Her more than two decades of professional experience began as Fashion Week México co-founder and COO; by 2005, she oversaw Fashion TV Latin America as General Producer. At heart an entrepreneur, she developed her first independent agency at age 25, then focused her interest in a wide portfolio of philanthropic efforts. She holds an MA in Non-Profit Organizations Management from the Autonomous University of Madrid, which recognized her work with its 2011 “Social Entrepreneurship” award, chosen from a field of 300 competitors. Back in Mexico, she joined top ad agency Circus, charged with developing its PR Department. Notable successes included the first Cannes PR Lion for Mexico. Her signature agency, Band of Insiders, has expanded rapidly in partnership with clients such as Danone, L’Oréal, Google, LVMH, Nestlé, Adidas, Formula E, Volvo, WeWork, Foursquare, Instagram, Hyundai, Heineken and a wide range of lifestyle, technology and consumer-product brands. Today, Band of Insiders has positioned itself as an industry leader, serving 15 countries across the continent from 5 owned offices located in Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, Panama, and the U.S. In 2018, Expansión—Mexico’s number-one business journal—named Baron one of its “30 Young Business Promises” for her entrepreneurial vision and outstanding contributions to the industry.
