I head RPC's Restructuring and Insolvency practice and have been an authorised insolvency practitioner since 1989. I have particular experience in insurance restructuring and insolvency but her wider focus covers all fields. I cover both contentious and non-contentious matters. I advise boards confronting distressed situations in addition to acting for accountant insolvency practitioners and other stakeholders. My work includes restructuring and the purchase of debt as well as all types of exit solutions in the insurance and other financial services industries eg schemes of arrangement and Part VII transfers. I was also involved in developing the now widely used "gagging" or "no-say" injunction against banks (and other innocent third parties) coupled with discovery and private examinations as a preliminary to freezing bank accounts and other assets of an insolvent estate. I have also appeared as an expert witness on estimation schemes of arrangement in the UK and Bermuda in relation to US insurance liquidations.
