About Vlad Mandiuc

First and foremost, I am a software engineer, and my passion is.(subtle drum roll) software development. With over a decade of experience writing code and building systems, the natural progression for me was to evolve into the wise, secretly-thinks-he-knows-everything software architect (think Gandalf, but with more coffee and less beard). Of course first thing you learn is how much you actually don't know and the horror thought of how much you don't know you don't know. I learned many new lessons but one of the biggest was how to talk efficiently with a team and this gets me to another passion of mine which can be shortly described as building high-performing teams. One of my core principles is that I don't believe in superheroes. Instead, I believe in teams that, with a bit of guidance, can achieve tremendous results (no capes required). After some time, I realized that coordinating teams and finishing projects, sometimes even building products, qualified me for a delivery manager role. I’ve always enjoyed wearing multiple hats and doing what’s needed without becoming a blocker for the team. Today, I find myself involved in technical conversations, writing code, reading code, thinking about the architecture of any small to large solution, improving delivery processes and leading projects to the finish line. I have always felt like an expert in my craft and a beginner in another. Currently, I am also diving into roles that are more product-focused, like a Product Owner, and exploring business development, where I feel like I’m just getting started. It’s like leveling up in a game—always something new to master!
